By basing Balder’s Cinemascope optical engine on its bigger brother Loki’s cinemascope architecture, custom-designed aspherical glass elements and enhanced low-dispersion glass lenses, image-quality is in a class of its own. To top that, Balder Cinemascope's frame and core is built of Aluminium; 37kg of pure quality. The result is the best picture quality ever shown at this level.
All new 'Pulse' electronics have been designed to process 4K with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2, while the optical engine utilises the very latest 0.9-inch DMD DLP chipset, delivering 3840 x 2160 pixels on screen.

Balder Cinemascope has a unique automatic aspect-ratio detection function. It will look for 2.40:1 content and automatically scale the image to fit the 5120 x 2160 resolution, and of course change back to 16:9 (3840 x 2160) for content in that format. It also changes aspect-ratio when a 2.40:1 format movie has menus outside the active picture frame. In addition, manual switching between formats is supported.
